Bob Etter had retired after 30 years with the DePere Police Department. He worked part-time at Hobart-Lawrence as a training officer. He was survived by his wife and four daughters.
Incident Surrounding Death
Officer Etter was killed when a suspect intentionally drove his pickup into the side of Etter's parked squad car. Etter's partner, Officer Stephanie R. Markins, was also killed.
